I see the following sites:

  1. How Wikipedia Works, The Website
  2. This wiki (phoebe + hww)
  3. Nostarch's info/purchase pages
  4. [ Amazon's page] -- useful to keep up amzn rank for drawing new attention & reviews
  5. O'Reilly's press release page (which gets a lot of attention and blog/pr links)

Along with related pages on WM sites:

  1. en:wp outline currently in phoebe's userspace
  2. a potential HWW book on wikibooks
  3. a Meta project page/portal on wikipedia books including links to Broughton's index, and other great wikipedians whose work and overviews and essays inspired HWW. (perhaps also an en portal about how to use wikipedia with similar themes)

It would be great to see the first list consolidated into the howwikipediaworks domain, so that the google rank of that site can be built up, and we can have PR and other useful materials next to purchase links and comment links, and to add to it

- A django-book style comment system for the html pages
- A 'npov' list of comments and reviews of the book, from Tom Lord trolls to fuller blurbs to blog posts about it
- Links to comments & updates for updates/improvement : a forum and project wiki pages
- Media supplementing the book : videos and more.

And the latter WM pages should all be linked from the project portal.

Long time lurker, thought I would say hello! I really dont post much but thanks for the good times I have here. Love this place..

When I was hurt in that motorcar accident my life would be changed forever. Sadly that driver had no car insurance and I was going to be hurting for ever.

This was not time for me to start and guess what to do. I had to find a good lawyer to help me get what I needed. After all, my family was counting on me.

How rotten was it? I has bedridden for 6 months, I had to have constant care and my hospital bills went through the roof!

Thank goodness, I found a good referral site to help me.

My LG GSA-H55N use to work great now it takes about 2 to 3 hours to download a movie ( use to be about 20 min ). Takes a lot longer to burn too. I've been backing up my DVD's for several years now, so I did all the usual clean ups, removing then re-installing programs, reinstalling DMA for the best DMA transfer mode ( and making sure it's DMA not PIO ). But it's still slow. I kept an eye on it while it was downloading and saw that it would stop ( the light on the burner would go out ) then it would start back up again. It kept doing that and each time it would the estimated time for the DVD to complete would increase. I only just installed this burner about 8 months ago. They usually last a couple of years . Anyone have any info on this? Here are my specs:

HP Pavilion 751n , Petium 4 CPU 1.80 GHz 1.82 GHZ,736 MG RAM. I'm running Windows XP with 80 GB storage, 40 GB are free. I have a 300 GB external storage drive where I download everything to. I'm using Sony 1-16x DVD-R's.

Oh and I'm not sure but it seems to me everything was fine up to when I installed IE 8, I'm still not sure if that had anything to do with it but I uninstalled it anyway. But still no better.

Any help will be appreciated.
